Center For Intentional Living Renovation

Forsyth Country Day School

Lewisville, NC | 2023

the original center of a 50-year old campus,

revived as a space for wellness & connection

The existing Founders Building was constructed in 1971 and since that time, numerous adjacent construction projects put constraints on physical circulation and visual connectivity at the heart of the FCDS campus.

This renovation project creates connectivity at the center of campus while providing a “living room of the school” through increased daylighting, updated entrances, new furniture, selective demolition, and a re-imagining of the historical library as a gathering space.

Skylights in the adjacent middle school brighten hallways and classrooms to promote more focused learning and greater individual health & wellness.
